I'm so very happy that Barack Obama will be our next president. I do have one bone to pick with him, however. The need to campaign heavily in swing states is obvious. I understand that California has been an unwavering supporter of Democratic presidential candidates and neither Obama nor McCain felt that they needed to campaign here. But we deserve to be thanked for that unwavering support.
Barack Obama should show his gratitude to the state of California and to his beloved school by speaking at the Commencement Ceremony for the Occidental College Class of 2009.
