Advertising with the Oxy WeeklyFounded in 1893, the Occidental Weekly is one of the oldest student newspapers in California. Published by the Associated Students of Occidental College each Wednesday during the academic year, the Weekly is distributed on campus to 1,500 faculty, staff, students, parents and community members. We have a number of options for advertising and provide a variety of community services; please do not hesitate to call or email with specific questions.

Basic RatesThe Weekly is five (5) columns across and has a printable area of 10" by 16". All advertisements are measured in a standard unit of measurement called a column-inch (columns across by inches tall). Each column is 1.867 inches wide.

- Or advertisements can be submitted electronically to our advertisement manager at WeeklyAds@oxy.edu. JPG, or PDF files are acceptable for font or artwork preservation, and should be saved at 300 dpi for optimal quality. If you are submitting a word document, we cannot guarantee that font and placement will be preserved.
- All advertisements are due to the Occidental Weekly office no later than Friday of the week prior to publication. We reserve the right not to publish your advertisement if it is not submitted on time.
- We cannot guarantee specific placement within an issue, but will try to fulfill requests.
- As proof of publication we will send you one copy of each issue in which your ad appears.
- The Occidental Weekly reserves the right to refuse any ad that if finds objectionable or that does not conform to our publication guidelines.
